Description
Troubleshooting KMS Issues
Ensure the error is hardware related:

- Indications are not foolproof.
     - For example, Net Back Up 84 error is as often as not drive related.
     - Similar applications have similar problems.
     - Even ASC/ASCQ and FSCs can be misleading.

Ensure it is Encryption related:

- Do not get tunnel visioned.
     - Media still fails.
     - Drives still fail.
     - SANs, drivers, OS's, cables, etc, still have problems.


Steps to Follow
Take the following steps:
Is this KMS implemented?
No - Currently implementing and having a problem.   Continue.
Yes - Everything was working.   Encryption Problem - Go to Document: 1020864.1


All KMAs online and joined in KMS Cluster?
(check KMA list)
No -  Go to Step A
Yes - Continue

Expected agents created?

No - Go to "Create Agent"
Yes - Continue

Agents have default group assigned?
(Check Agent List)
No - Agents can read using keys from assigned group, but write from default group.
Yes - Continue

Agent have correct group?
No - Agents can only use keys from assigned Key Groups.
Yes- Diagnose Agent problem - Go to Document: 1020860.1


Step A:
From KMA created and GUI, is access OK?

No - Review KMA setup and QuickStart.
Yes - Continue

First KMA displays in GUI but others do not?

No - Return to Step A.  You are here because some, not all KMA's display in GUI.
Yes - Encryption Problem - Go to Document: 1020864.1
