How to remove and replace a SPARC T3-4 Server Processor Module

FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
PROBLEM OVERVIEW: replace a faulty SPARC T3-4 Processor Module
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
If the system contains two Processor Modules it is possible to replace a faulty Processor Module 1 without powering off the system. Note that a power off of the server will be required to actually use the new Processor Module. The steps to perform this are at http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19417-01/html/E20812/z40007bb1498578.html#scrolltoc .
For all other cases the server must be fully shut down and the power cords disconnected.
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
Remove a Processor Module:
Squeeze the release latches together on the two extraction levers and pull the extraction levers out to disengage the processor module from the server.
Pull the processor module halfway out of the server.
Press the levers back together, toward the center of the processor module.
This will keep the levers from getting damaged when you remove the processor module from the server.
Using two hands, completely remove the processor module and place the module on an antistatic mat.
Caution - Do not touch the connectors at the rear of the processor module.
Remove the cover from the processor module:
Press down on the green button at the top of the cover to disengage the cover from the processor module.
Keeping the button pressed down, push the cover toward the rear of the processor module and lift the cover up and away from the processor module.
Remove all DIMMs from the faulty processor module and set them in a safe place.
Install a Processor Module:
Install all of the DIMMs that you removed from the faulty processor module into the replacement module.
Insert the processor module into the empty processor module slot in the server.
Bring the levers together toward the center of the module and press them firmly against the module to fully seat the module back into the server.
The levers should click into place when the module is fully seated in the server.
Power on the server.
Use the show faulty command to determine if the replaced processor module is shown as enabled or disabled:
-> show faulty

Verify that the OK LED is lit on the processor module and that the Fault LED is not lit. Verify that the front and rear Service Required LEDs are not lit.
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE FE/CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Boot system and monitor boot sequence for errors. Test functionality of system:
1. Run the Solaris "fmadm faulty" and SP/ILOM "show faulty" command (if only ALOM is supported run "showfaults -v" command) to verify that the fault has been cleared.
2. Perform one of the following tasks based on your verification results:
* If the previous steps did not clear the fault, refer to doc 1004229.1 for information about the tools and methods you can use to diagnose and clear component faults.
* If the previous steps indicate that no faults have been detected, then the component has been replaced successfully. No further action is required
3. Restart software applications per applicable administration guides to resume system operation.
