How to Remove and Replace a Netra 440 CPU Fan

Netra 440 Product Knowledge, and General hardware replacement experience.
Nothing beyond basic partner training to be qualified as a Service Delivery Partner.

FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR INSTRUCTIONS:
PROBLEM OVERVIEW: CPU Fan Tray Failure
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: CPU 0-2 are Hot replace
WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE?:
Removing a CPU Fan Tray (0-2)
01. Attach the antistatic wrist strap.
02. Open the system door.
03. Identify the fan tray to be removed and note the bay in which it is installed.
At the front of the Server, from left to right: FT0, FT1 and FT2
04. Pull down on the handle at the top of the fan tray to lower the fan tray catches
05. Holding the fan tray by the handle, slide the fan tray out of the bay.
Note – When you reinstall the fan tray (or a replacement fan tray), ensure that you install the fan tray into the same bay as the one from which it was just removed.
Caution – Do not operate the system for longer than 15 minutes without the fan tray in place or the system may overheat.
06. Align the fan tray to its bay. Orient the fan tray so that the latch is on the bottom.
07. Insert the fan tray into the bay guide rails and slide the fan tray into the bay until it makes firm contact with the backplane.
08. Close the system door.
