StorageTek T10000C Tape Drive - Version Not Applicable and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The T10KC drive firmware release 1.53.316 is now available on My Oracle Support (MOS) for download.

Fix

This firmware code resolves the following issues:

  • New imbed TCM circuit card exposed in intermittent bug where DCCM configuration was unreliable. When drives were initially loading boot-code some drives were not setting up the proper DCCM configuration settings.
  • New factory test with new RO HC ASIC exposed a previously un-seen FSA bug where “early” tape full errors can occur.
  • Fix for 2B5A SNO’s
  • Fix for STA support - reporting perm FSC’s, perm counters and “time spent reading”. Previously fixed in RG53.315

Reference Doc 1437291.1 for assistance with downloading firmware from My Oracle Support.

Also see README file that comes with this firmware in patch 14674663, for installation assistance.

This code is being installed on new drives at the factory at this time.  Any drive that comes in with 1.53.316 code installed cannot be downgraded to a lesser version, as the drive has new hardware that requires this level of microcode.
