DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution. WHAT ACTION DOES THE FIELD ENGINEER/CUSTOMER ADMINISTRATOR NEED TO TAKE: Removing the Front Fan 1.Power off the system and open the chassis. 4.Guide the front fan cable through and out of the front fan bracket tab. 6.Lift the fan out of the front fan bracket chassis and set it aside. Caution – Do not power on the system if the front fan is not installed. Installing the Front Fan 1.Power off the system and open the chassis. 4.Holding the fan upright, with the fan cable at the bottom corner farthest from you, slide the fan into the fan bracket at an angle so that the far side enters the bracket first. 5.Press the fan into the fan bracket until the two tabs click. 7.Connect the front fan cable to motherboard connector FAN2. 8.Inspect the front fan fasteners to verify that: 9.Inspect the front fan and related component cabling to verify that: 10.Install the access panel, power on the system, and verify the component installation.
