Goal
Provide the instructions on how to grow a filesystem or LUN from the Pillar Axiom Storage Services Manager
Fix
For R5:
How to grow a LUN:
1) Click on the Configure Tab in the top left context pane.
2) Click on LUNs
3) Highlight the LUN you want to modify on the right hand side.
4) Right click on the LUNs and select Modify LUN.
5) Change the Addressable Logical Capacity to the size you desire
6) Click OK
For R4 and below:
How to grow a filesystem:
1 Click the Storage icon in the top context pane.
2 Click the Filesystems link in the left navigation pane.
3 Select the filesystem that you want to modify.
4 Choose Modify Filesystem from the Actions drop-down list.
5 Click the Quality of Service tab.
Change the following parameter:
Maximum Capacity
Identifies the maximum capacity to which the logical volume can grow. For a
clone, this field identifies how much addressable space will be available.
Click OK.
In the GUI...the LUN will change from ONLINE to CONFIGURING. It will return to ONLINE once the
grow operation is complete.
NOTE: You will need to configure any host to accept the change in size as this operation is invisible to any
connected host(s)...
How to grow a LUN:

3 Select the LUN that you want to modify.
4 Choose Modify LUN from the Actions drop-down list.
5 Click the Quality of Service tab.
