Pillar Axiom - How to change brciks name in Axiom GUI release 5. Applies to:Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System - Version All Versions to All Versions [Release All Releases]Information in this document applies to any platform. GoalThe purpose of this document is to explain procedure to change name of the brick in Axiom GUI release 5. FixBrick Name specifies the name that is assigned the Brick. The Pillar Axiom system maps the assigned name to the component’s serial number and updates the map if you modify the component name. By default, the Bricks are assigned names such as Brick001 in release 4 and Brick-001 in release 5. This string is a logical Brick name and does not necessarily reflect the physical location of the Brick. If you want to change a brick name please follow below steps: 1. Start Gui and log in with a user who has administrator rights. 2. Select Monitor -> Hardware -> Bricks . 3. Right click on the brick of interest and select “Modify Name”. 4. This will open a new window and brick name can be modified from here. 5. Use a unique, meaningful name to help you easily locate specific components. 6. When you finish click "OK" to complete.
