Check if Zoning is updated withe the HBA's information.
Check if Make and Model of the new HBA is supported by the Axiom

Goal

This KM provides the steps to configure the ports in the Axiom GUI after a new HBA is installed to an exsisting host connected to the Axiom.

Fix

If you are just adding a new HBA to your host, the Axiom should detect it if the Zoning on the switch is updated and activated. If zoning is not updated on the SAN switch for the new HBA, the GUI will not see the HBA's WWN.

You will want to look in the Host window (Axiom GUI - Storage tab - SAN - Hosts)

If APM is running, the GUI will show the WWN under Host Port next to the host name.

If APM is not running, the new HBA's WWN will be listed in hosts in the GUI as "Hostname Unknown" under Host Name and the WWN under Host Port. Once you see the new WWN you can then associate the host name to the WWN by checking the entry and using the pull down <Actions> and select Associate a Host.
