Goal

How to Setup and Delete a Service User For Supoort to Assist the customer on the StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library.

Fix

The customer can setup a Service user so that a support representitive can assist with troubleshooting on the SL150 library.

Note: This requires that the customer allow the support representitive to run a webex session on a PC that has access to the customer's SL150 library so that the support representitive can have access to their SL150 library.

To Add a Service User:

1. Log in as admin to the Web GUI for the SL150 library.

2. Click on Settings from the main menu at the left of the page.

3. Click on the Users tab.

4. Click on Add User.  An input window will pop up.

5 .Enter the User ID, Password, and Verify Password fields and then select Service from the drop down box.

6. Click on OK.

Your new service user with a service roll will now be created and a support representitive can log into the SL150 library from the Web GUI with the new service user.

It is recommended that this service user be deleted after the support representitive has finished assisting the customer.

To Delete a Service User:

1. Log in as admin to the Web GUI for the SL150 library.

2. Click on Settings from the main menu at the left of the page.

3. Click on the Users tab.

4. Click on the service user that you want to delete.

5. Click on Delete User.

6. Click OK on the verification popup.

Now the service user that you selected will be deleted.
