How to Manually Eject a Magazine in the StorageTek SL150 Modular Tape Library

Fix

If for any reason you can't eject a magazine from the Web GUI for the SL150 library you may need to manually eject the magazine.  Always make sure that the SL150 library is offline to any hosts before you manually eject a magazine.

To Manually Eject a Magazine:

Note: The below steps require the HEX key that was shipped with the SL150 library.

1.Take the HEX key and place it in the hole that is located towards the Operator Panel in the lower corener of the magazine handle.

2.Push in on the HEX key while pulling gently on the magazine.

3.Pull the magazine out and place it on a static free surface.

Cation: Make sure you tilt the magazine back slightly so that the tape cartridges don't fall out onto the floor.
