GoalReset the StorageTek 9X40 or T10K tape drive in order to assist with problem diagnosis FixSteps to reset a StorageTek 9X40 and T10K Tape Drive. 1. Be sure there is not any active input/output to the subject tape drive and that it is varied offline to all attached hosts. 2. Open the Library rear doors. 3. Depress the Power Switch. ( Usually the black round button on the back of the drive tray ) 4. The green LED will flash while the unit is powering down. 5. Wait until the LED is solid RED ( approximately 1 minute after depressing the power button ) 6. Depress the Power Switch again to power on the drive. 7. Wait until the green LED goes solid. ( that indicates a sucessful IPL has been performed ) 8. Vary the drive back online to the host application. Attachments This solution has no attachment |
