Goal

Exachk version 2.1.4 returns the following error on Exadata database nodes: MaxStartups parameter in /etc/ssh/sshd_config should set to recommended value.

Fix

This newly added check is only meant for systems with more than 10 database nodes in the cluster.  The default value of 10 (that may be commented out) is usually fine for smaller systems.  For systems greater than 10 nodes, we recommend increasing the value to 100.

Example for a small system:
[root@xyz1 onecommand]# dcli -g /opt/oracle.SupportTools/onecommand/dbs_group -l root "egrep -i maxstartups /etc/ssh/sshd_config"
xyz1: #MaxStartups 10
xyz2: #MaxStartups 10

This database check will be further refined in a future Exachk release.
