Goal

Verifying the Fabric health for Fibre-Channel connectivity of the Unified Storage

Solution

This document will be useful for troubleshooting when transport errors / timeouts / target connectivity issues are seen on the host when it is connected over a fabric to the ZFSSA Unified Storage.

Verify SAN configuration and Zoning Setup

To ensure HBA's will not see each other, a minimum of one zone per initiator per fabric is needed. Different methodologies of zoning exists, like WWN based zoning and San switch port based zoning. Check for errors logged by the switches. This might require extra logging enabled on switches. This may be useful if link errors are seen.

Refer to the following documentation to troubleshoot fabric connectivity issues.
