Goal

T10000C - Standalone Chassis Support for T10000C Drive.

We have a customer that has a t10ka drive in a dual standalone chassis, it had a number on back of T1A00R, they want to put a T10KC drive that came in a enclosure to fit in a 3000 Library, into the standalone enclosure, but I have seen warning about cooling, for the T10K C drives, and there are no fans in this enclosure that I see other than the one that is for the current A drive in the enclosure. Is there a special enclosure for a standalone T10KC drive, or do we just take our chances in this enclosure?

Solution

The older rack mount trays cannot handle the T10000C drives.
There is no conversion bill for this.
Since the T10000C has no internal fans, the mounting holes for the T10000C fans are not in those older trays.
