Goal

How to use WinSCP to FTP files from a VLE to your local PC hard drive.  This process can be used to retrieve files from a VLE which is connected directly to your PC or which is network connected.

Fix

Prereqs:
1. WinSCP application
2. IP address of the VLE
3. Location on the VLE of the files you wish to acquire.

Process:
1. Start WinSCP

2. Place IP address of the VLE in the 'Host name' field and click on the 'Login' button.
3. Log in to the VLE.
Note: normal logon and PW is 'vleadmin' and 'vleadmin'
4. You will now see a split screen with your PC directories on the left and the VLE directories on the right.

5. On the left window, create/navigate to the directory you want the VLE files to go into.
6. On the right window, navigate to the directory that contains the file(s) you desire.
Note: the default directory of the VLE is /export/home/vleadmin.  You may have to navigate up in the
directory tree first.  I.E. Path for support file bundle is var/opt/StatusService/output/archive

7. Once you have both directories selected, simply drag the file from the VLE to the desired directory on
    your PC.
