Goal*Goal This document explains steps to identify "target" CHAP name and parameters on the ZFS Storage Appliance (ZFFSA.) To discuss this information further with Oracle experts and industry peers, we encourage you to review, join or start a discussion in the My Oracle Support Community - 7000 Series ZFS Appliances
FixThe initiator CHAP name and secret needs to be correctly set to allow the initiator host to be authenticated by the ZFSSA. Also the target definition has an interface name shown in the configuration. This is the network datalink that ZFSSA uses to "listen" to iSCSI requests from the initiator. The target has to have the correct datalink name set up to listen to the requests from the initiator host. Follow the steps below to identify target IQN and CHAP name. solaris$ ssh -l root 192.168.150.21
Also notice that the datalink name that the appliance listens on for the initiator requests is shown under the "interfaces" property. oratkyar1:> configuration san targets
