Goal
The purpose of this document is to assist in collecting data from the Service Processor (SP) for further troubleshooting by Oracle support.
Solution
First step is to determine the Service Processor ( SP ) IP address
- go to Web BUI: Maintenance
- go to Hardware
- select the controller chassis, the Head
- go to "Show Details"
- go to "SP"
From there the IP address assigned to the ILOM or Service Processor can be obtained.
From the CLI you can use the following command line after logging into the Sun Storage 7000 Unified Storage System
ZFS700:> maintenance hardware select chassis-000 select sp ls
Properties:
macaddr = 0:14:4f:f7:dd:70
ipaddr_src = dhcp
ipaddr = 192.168.1.10
subnet = 255.255.255.0
gateway = 192.168.1.1
With the IP address, you are now ready to use the following documents:

- shows two method can be used for collect data from the SP.
- SP CLI or with ipmitool.
By using the SP CLI or with ipmitool.
Below are the commands to be run depends on which method are used.
- Collecting snapshot on ILOM 3.x and later platforms (Doc ID 1020204.1)
- The utility collects log files, runs various commands and collects their output, and sends the data collection as a zip file to a user defined location.

- collectHostStatus.sh' is a utility in the ILOM Service Processor (SP) firmware .
is used to collect host status information for analysis by developers, when a server is malfunctioning. IPMI sensor information, IPMI sel log history, and optionally detailed server cpu status information are collected.
- Tools: ILOM SnapshotMiner
