Goal

This document describes how to obtain information about iSNS and RADIUS settings on Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance (ZFSSA.)

Fix

Identifying if iSNS Discovery Is Set up Correctly on the ZFSSA:

This section is valid ONLY WHEN you are using iSNS as a discovery method of iSCSI devices from the host.

ZFSSA must be registered if you are using iSNS as a discovery method for initiator to find iSCSI IQNs.  The following command shows you the IP address or host name of iSNS server. If you are using the host name, make sure it can be resolved to it's IP address correctly. (The following example DOES NOT have any of iSNS properties.)

oratkyar1:> configuration services iscsi
oratkyar1:configuration services iscsi> show
Properties:
<status> = online
isns = (unset)
isnsserver = (unset)

radiussecret = (unset)
radiusserver = (unset)

Identifying if ZFSSA is Set Up Correctly for RADIUS Authentication:

This section is valid ONLY WHEN you plan to use RADIUS as a means of iSCSI authentication. You need to consult with the respective product documentation to set up a RADIUS server.
The following command shows you the IP address or host name of the RADIUS server and the RADIUS secret. If you are using the host name for RADIUS server, make sure it can be resolved to it's IP address correctly. (The following example DOES NOT have any of RADIUS properties.)

oratkyar1:> configuration services iscsi
oratkyar1:configuration services iscsi> show
Properties:
<status> = online
isns = (unset)
isnsserver = (unset)
radiussecret = (unset)
radiusserver = (unset)
