Goal

Collect Diagnostic Data for the ASR backline team to investigate the reason for a Configuration or Installation issue as well as an Auto Service Request (ASR) Service Request generation Failure.

(Note; This does not include Entitlement issues)

Fix

Registration Issues

1. Set the debug level to highest level
Solaris and Linux Version
/opt/SUNWsefms/bin/ras_admin agent debug=4

Windows Version
Program Files\Sun\Common Array Manager\Component\fms\bin>ras_admin.bat agent debug=4
or
Program Files (x86)\Sun\Common Array Manager\Component\fms\bin>ras_admin.bat agent debug=4

2.Notes step
Make sure to note the IP's of the devices prior to any removal

3. From the CAM BUI/GUI
From the Storage Systems Summary Page, click the check box next too both arrays and click remove.
(Note: settings are storded on the arrays so it should come back as previous when we rediscover them)

4. From the CAM BUI/GUI
From the Storage Systems Summary page, click on "register".
Use the enter IP address or hostname option for both

5. Please collect the log data with this procedure:

In the UI Navigation tree: "General Configuration->Support Data" or if that item is not there please run:

Solaris:
/opt/SUNWsefms/bin/supportData -d localhost -P <path for output> -o <output filename>

Linux:
/opt/sun/cam/private/fms/bin

Windows:
Program Files\Sun\Common Array Manager\Component\fms\bin>supportData -d localhost -p <path for output> -o <output filename>
or
Program Files (x86)\Sun\Common Array Manager\Component\fms\bin>supportData -d localhost -p <path for output> -o <output filename>

6. Reset Debug levels back to normal settings
Solaris and Linux Version
/opt/SUNWsefms/bin/ras_admin agent debug=1

Windows Version
Program Files\Sun\Common Array Manager\Component\fms\bin>ras_admin.bat agent debug=1
or
Program Files (x86)\Sun\Common Array Manager\Component\fms\bin>ras_admin.bat agent debug=1
