GoalHow to Remove and Replace a Netra 440 Power CordSolutionDISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS- WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED: Nothing beyond basic partner training to be qualified as a Sun Service Delivery Partner. - TIME ESTIMATE: 15 minutes - TASK COMPLEXITY: 0 FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS: - PROBLEM OVERVIEW: Power Cord failed. - WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY?: A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution. The customer is not required to perform a system shutdown. The Netra 440 has up to 4 PSUs with either AC or DC inputs. A minimum of two PSUs are required for normal operation. - WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: Replace the bad power cord. OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE - WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE: If the replacement was a hot swap on a redundant configuration, the system should be operational and need no further work. If the replacement was in a system with a single power source, restart software applications per applicable administration guides to resume system operation.
