CAP PROBLEM OVERVIEW: X6220 Batery Replacement
DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?)
It is recommended(but not required) the following trainning course: WZT-5582: Sun Blade 6000 Modular System Installation, Administration and Troubleshooting.
TIME ESTIMATE: 30 minutes
FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS
WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Power off server and remove server module from chassis
a. Press together and hold green ejector buttons
b. Open ejector levers by rotating them out from server module
c. Pull server module out. Put it on antistatic surface
2. Remove main cover: Press down on the cover release button, slide main cover toward rear of chassis, Grasp cover by rear edge and lift it
Note: Before removing the battery from its holder, note the orientation (polarity) of the battery before it is removed. The positive polarity, marked with a + symbol, should be facing toward the center of the motherboard.
3. Remove battery by gently pulling clip away from battery face and lifting battery straight up ( located near the rear of chassis )
OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE
WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
Work required to bring the system back online
