General HW Service Skills Time Estimate: 30 minutes FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS WHAT STATE SHOULD SYSTEM BE TO BE READY TO PERFORM RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: Remove a Power Supply If present, remove cable management arm, or swivel open cable management arm to view power supplies. Disconnect the AC power cord that is connected to power supply you want to replace. Remove installed power supply unit by pulling its handle downward until it disengages unit from connector on PDB. Pull out power supply. Install a Power Supply Align power supply with empty bay in chassis. With power supply handle in down position, push power supply into power supply bay. Connect AC power cord to new power supply. Use the power cord retaining clips If present, swivel cable management arm back into closed position.
