DISPATCH INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT SKILLS DOES THE ENGINEER NEED:(IS A SITE ENGINEER AVAILABLE?)

Engineer has to go through 6000/FLX Installation and Maintenance
SANtricity

DELIVERY REQUIREMENT: Schedule for immediate delivery within contractual terms.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Verify that the battery is ready to remove. In the GUI the battery will show as "Failed", "Over Temperature", "Requires Replacement". If the status of the battery is different contact your Sun Service provider or your next level of support.
DO NOT replace the battery if the faults are Nearing Expiration or Expired. Reset the battery age.
2. Go to the array and remove and replace the battery in the battery in the array controller.
3. The battery age must now be reset. In the GUI click on the "Fan/Battery/View" icon next to the controller tray. Click on the battery link on the left side of the window. Now click on the "Reset" button next to the batteries that have been replaced. Verify the age has been reset properly.
Note - If the battery is new it will take a few hours (up to 14 hours) for it to charge which means cache will be disabled until then.
4. Repeat for remaining battery as required.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN
OPERATIONAL STATE:

1. Verify that the battery age has been reset for each battery replaced.
2. Verify that the alarms for batteries have been removed from the alarms list
3. Notify the customer that the battery charge for each battery can take up to 14 hours before write cache is restored.
