PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
RAID Controller has been determined as failed.

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :
Array power must be on. DO NOT replace the controller with the power off.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:
1. Using CAM, preferably the customer's instance, verify the controller status as OFFLINE. If it is not OFFLINE, use the Service Advisor for the
array under Place the Controller Offline.
2. Use the SA procedure for Controller Removal and Replacement to replace the controller.
This includes, but is not limited to:
a) Disconnect all attached interface cables from the failed controller, including the SFP transceivers. Ensure that you label all cables so that you can reconnect them correctly to the new controller.
b) Remove the controller
c) Insert the new controller
e) Place the controller online via the SA
e) Reconnect all cables to their original positions

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
1. Alarms for Offline Controller, RPA Memory Error, Drive Tray Lost Redundancy, and Drive Path Degraded no longer present on the system.
2. Controllers are both in an Online Status
3. Notify customer of any Volumes Not on their preferred path, and direct them to look at the hosts that access them, and failback the paths.
