FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

PROBLEM OVERVIEW:
Faulty DVD

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

A data backup is not a pre-requisite but is a wise precaution.
The customer should conduct an orderly software system shutdown.

Then power down the system and disconnect the Power Cord.

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

1. Power off the system
2. Remove the front bezel
3. Remove the removable media drive

   A. Press the tabs above and below the removable media drive to release it from the chassis.
   B. Pull the drive forward and out of the system.

Caution – Do not squeeze the sides of the drive, or pull against its front panel.  Doing so could seriously damage the drive.


4.Instal the removable media drive
5.Instal the front bezel
6.Power on the system

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
