GoalHow to Solve SL8500 power ProblemsSolutionPROBLEM OVERVIEW: Power problem on SL8500 CONFIRM THE FAULT BY CHECKING: Do health check on library via SL Console WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? : If SL8500 is still operational on redundant power, no user action is required. WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: - Check status of power supplies via SL Console. - Check power LEDs on power supplies. - Re-seat power supply that is reporting not functional. - Replace failed power supply as indicated in SL Console. - Record specific error code and messages associated with failure in case notes. - Record all relevant visual observations of error in case notes. - Record final fix in case notes.
