GoalHow to Solve an SL500 Cartridge Access Port (CAP) FailureSolutionPROBLEM OVERVIEW: SL500 CAP problemInitial on-site investigation does not require any customer intervention. Certain action will require customer to take down library and transports from the host. WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE: -Check for Service Required LED -Review SL Console for error status -Check that the CAP door latch assembly is not broken -Re-initialize library to verify library comes up online -Check that the CAP Tray is seated properly -Verify CAP is configured correctly -Run diagnostics to the CAP, replace CAP FRU as needed -Record specific error code and messages associated with failure in case notes -Record all relevant visual observations of error in case notes -Record final fix in case notes -Run diagnostics to the CAP to verify functionality -Have customer access the CAP to verify it is functional.
