No specific skills required

DELIVERY REQUIREMENT:

As scheduled

TIME ESTIMATE: 30 minutes

FIELD ENGINEER INSTRUCTIONS

WHAT STATE SHOULD THE SYSTEM BE IN TO BE READY TO PERFORM THE RESOLUTION ACTIVITY? :

System shutdown is not required.  This component is a hot-swappable CRU

WHAT ACTION DOES THE ENGINEER NEED TO TAKE:

1. Identify the Fan Module (FT1- FT4) which requires replacement

Refer to the Service Manual for the specific position of Fan.

2. Remove the Fan Module from the chassis

Pinch both plastic securing buttons toward the center of the fan tray, and simultaneously lift the
fan tray up and out of the chassis

3. Insert the new Fan Module into the chassis within 60 seconds after removal of the faulty fan module.

* Failure to insert the fan within 60 seconds will result on the machine powering off *

Push down gently until the connector is fully engaged and the plastic securing buttons snap
into place.

OBTAIN CUSTOMER ACCEPTANCE

WHAT ACTION DOES THE CUSTOMER NEED TO TAKE TO RETURN THE SYSTEM TO AN OPERATIONAL STATE:
