Goal

Inform the field personnel and customers regarding cleaning label types for T10000C.
What HSC maintenance is required to support T10KC cleaning cartridges?

Solution

T10000C cleaning cartridges can use either type CC or type CL labels.
T10000C transports must use the type 2 (T2 cleaning cartridges).

CC labels can be used for T10000C drives only.

T10000C CC Label Requirements

  • ACSLS 7.3 with PUT0801 – available Nov 2008
  • ACSLS 8.0 - Oct 2009
  • ACSLS 8.0.1 – June 2010
  • SL8500 – minimum microcode 4.73/4.74
  • SL3000 – minimum microcode 2.80

CL labels can be used for T10000A/B/C drives and is considered to be a universal cleaning label.  This label needs to be affixed to a type 2 (T2) cleaning cartridge.

T10000C CL Label Requirements

  • ACSLS 7.3.1 – June 2010 (Required minimum 7x ACSLS version to support CL label)
  • ACSLS 8.0.2 – Oct 2010 (Required minimum 8x ACSLS version to support CL label)
  • SL8500 – minimum microcode 6.0.2 – June 2010 - requires ACSLS 7.3.1 or 8.0.2 (Minimum ACSLS version required to support FRS-6.02 SL8500 Code, not the CL clean feature)
  • SL3000 – minimum microcode 2.80 – ACSLS 7.3 PUT0801 or 8.0/8.0.1 (Minimum ACSLS version required to support FRS-2.80 SL3000 Code, not the CL clean feature)
