Goal

How to collect VTSS logs for remote troubleshooting.

Fix

Depending on how remote access is configured at the customer site, troubleshooting logs can be collected via CSRC or SDP:

1. If a modem is configured, use CSRS (Customer Service Remote Console) to collect logs.  Refer to "How to download VSM logfiles with CSRC".

2. If SDP is configured, use SDP (Service Delivery Platform) to collect logs.  Refer to "How to download VSM logfiles with SDP vshell".

Note: Above links require access to the VSM-HW Beehive Workspace.  Contact VSM-HW (VTSS) support for access (IM chat room TAPE-VSM-HW).

Also, there is Customer version of vshell_lite that can be installed that allow the customer to collect logs for those sites that do not have remotes access.  Refer to doc id 1311008.1
