If you can access the VTL via the current IP address, simply log into the VTL console, right click on the node in question, go to maintenance and configure the network. It might be possible to do this with a laptop and a cross over cable do this (by assuming an IP address in the same subnet as the VTL). 2. In the x4200, x4500, and x4600 systems, you can access the remote display via the ILOM. In the v40z and supermicro systems, you must attach a keyboard and monitor. You can then run the VTL console locally on the system ( /usr/local/vtlconsole/vtlconsole ) and use 127.0.0.1 (loopback) as the address of the VTL and refer to method 1, above.
