Goal

  • To find the version and build of VTL being run by inspecting the GUI.
  • Getting the build number of the VTL software from the VTL Console.

Solution

  1. Open VTL Console (customer's admin will have this installed on a remote workstation, as the GUI is not normally run from the VTL server itself).
  2. Select (highlight) the VTL server in question from the tree on the left hand side of the screen.
  3. Userid and password screen will be displayed for customer to enter their information.
  4. A general or default screen will then be displayed that shows the general information about that VTL server.
  5. Select the Version Info tab at the top of the right section of the screen.
  6. The version info will then be displayed on right side of screen.
  7. Locate the line directly below the "Server Version:" which contains the version and build number.
