Goal

nformation on how to send email alerts from KMS.

Solution

Steps to Follow
KMS 2.x EMAIL Notification.
Currently only way to send an email alert from KMS if a failure occurs is to configure the ELOM to send an email via an SMTP server.

To Configure- Log onto ELOM via web browser, select Configuration Tab, Select Email notification, Enter SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol) Customer should have an email server that supports SMTP.
Enter Receiver Email Address.

We do encourage uses to use SNMP for alert instead of ELOM email method - ELOM Email will only alert if a Power failure or critical hardware failure occurs, it will not alert if KMS services are not responding.

See KMS - KMS 2.x SNMP MIB files (Doc ID 1019688.1) for details on SNMP.
