Goal

* parts availability and EOL (End Of Life) of VTL.

The following procedure is for a VTL qualified field engineer to add capacity to an existing VTL configuration.

Notes:
1. Customer must first contact Oracle Sales Representative to order the capacity upgrade. 
2. The below procedure is Oracle Internal only, if not viewable, please contact local field support assigned to perform upgrade or VTL support to help coordinate.

Note: Customer must first contact Oracle Sales Representative to order the capacity upgrade, before local field engineering can implement upgrade.

Other Notes:
1. Above links are Oracle internal only
2. SANtricity is the preferred method to configure arrays for VTL+ systems.  This is due to having all scripts written that only work with SANtricity.  However, CAM can be used to configure the newly added drives, but will have to be done manually one at a time, as no scripts are available for CAM.  And once the array is reconfigured using CAM, it cannot be later configured using SANtricity.  The config files will auto convert to CAM format, but cannot be converted back to SANtricity format, so all future maintenance will have to be done with CAM. This only applies to maintenance updates and configuration activity, either CAM or SANtricity can be used to "monitor" the arrays.  
3. Disk array scripts to configure new drives can be obtained by contacting VTL Support.
