Description
Elevator Wheel/Roller Part Number and Replacement Procedure
Steps to Follow
SL8500 Elevator Z Carriage Wheel Replacement Procedure:
The 3/4 inch roller is used on both the Robot and Elevator assembly.
Part now available through Logisticss.. !!!
• 3/4” carriage wheels / roller 419889103 - ROLLER,3/4 OD
Reference Only: (The original Part number for the 3/4" roller was 313797602 ... special order ... now not available.......)
The Part number for the Z-Spring Assembly is: 419838103. It is possible to order the whole Z-spring assembly with the bars and rollers already in place. This assembly is NOT a standard order part and also requires special order through Logistic using the NOPRT process. Picture of this assembly is attached to the solution.
Special Note: In steps 9,10, and 11, DO NOT Adjust the Spring Roller Assembly adjustment screw, it is factory set and can not be adjusted properly in the field.
Refer to the attached document for Roller Replacement Procedure on the elevator assembly. This provides complete instructions along with pictures to assist in replacing the Z-Carriage Wheel.
PURPOSE: To repair an elevator assembly in the field that has one or more defective 3/4” carriage wheels.
TOOLS REQUIRED: 1 Torx T15 bit and driver and 1 extended Torx T15(provided).
TIME REQUIRED: 1 CSE hour.
As the roller is the only thing being replaced on the elevator assembly, do NOT remove the Z-carriage assembly from the elevator pull.
Doing so will mess up the tension setting between the assembly and the pull. It is extremely difficult to re-assemble with the instructions provided. The main concern is keeping the spring, which rests on the shaft, from becoming cocked during re-assembly.
