Goal

Ever need to find out the fcode version of the on-board ISP2200 chip?

Solution

Steps to Follow
The luxadm command will provide this information in a succinct output.
Example:

# luxadm qlgc_s_download

Found Path to 1 FC100/P, ISP2200 Devices

Opening Device: /devices/pci@8,600000/SUNW,qlc@2/fp@0,0:devctl
Detected FCode Version: ISP2200 FC-AL Host Adapter Driver: 1.14 01/11/20 Complete

The Fcode version in the example is 1.14

Most probably, once you've found the firmware revision, the next logical question will be how to update the firmware.  The only way to update the on-board firmware for the ISP2200 is to update the OBP.

See <Sunbug 4454917>  for more information on why.

See <Document 1007526.1> for information on updating the OBP.
