This document applies to all systems using ALOM, including V210, V215, V240, V245, V440, V445, T1000, T2000, CP3060, & T6300 SymptomsSystem is restarting with the message "SC Request to Reset Host due to Watchdog" CauseSolaris is hanging causing the watchdog to reset the system. This is NOT an indication of a hardware failure. SolutionHave customer change the ALOM setting sys_autorestart to none or dumpcore (for T1 based systems). Ex: setsc sys_autorestart dumpcore.
1. Use #. to get to ALOM if you are not already there 2. Type 'break', then 'console -f to get to the ok prompt.' 3. At the ok prompt type 'sync'
