Solution Type Problem Resolution Sure Solution 1492184.1 : SL3000 - AEM PUX Card Damage
In this Document
Applies to:Sun StorageTek SL3000 Modular Library System - Version Not Applicable and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform. SymptomsSymptom will be either one or both AEM will show "not installed" status and be non-functional. The AEM will physically work with the jumper tests but will not come online to the controller. Interrupting controller load by power cycling or rebooting will destroy the PUX cards. CauseInterrupting controller load by power cycling or rebooting SolutionAll AEMs ship with version 2.30 code on the PUX card. When installing a subsystem with AEMs it is important to know that a "wait" condition will occur during the first power-up while the controller loads new code to the AEM PUX cards. During initial power-ups, watch for the "wait" LED and act accordingly. It is not believed opening the door will power down the PUX cards the way the Tall-Bots are powered down and may not affect the code upgrade but do not open it anyway. See next entry for related information.
