Symptoms
During an ACSLS AUDIT the LSM reports hardware failures trying to eject cartridges with unreadable labels.

Cause
Cartridge can not be detected or reached.
Solution
Recommended Actions:
Stop the backup application.
Stop all enters and ejects . Idle acsls and vary the lsm 0,0 offline and open the L700 front door..
1. Find and remove the cart from cell 0,0, 0, 8, 2 as this may be the cause of all the problems.
2. Check for any other obstructions of the robot hand on panel "0" and around the CAP area.
3. Check the CAP operations by manually ejecting some carts using the cmd_proc.
NOTE:
If possible avoid running Audits during heavy production workloads. In addition, whilst an audit is being undertaken, a user designated CAP will be allocated to the audit task for the ejection of duplicate or unlabelled / unreadable cartridges and will stay exclusively allocated until the audit completes. The audit will not complete until the cap is emptied if it has been used for ejection.
Actual findings and resolution:
Cartridge was found to be inserted far further than normal in 0,0,0,8,2. That has been rectified. On audit, ACSLS ejected one tape (with a damaged label) and reported no hardware error.
Manually reseated the tapes on the slots and the issue is now resolved.
