In this Document
Created from <SR 3-6084710311> Applies to:Sun Fire T2000 Server - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]All Platforms SymptomsLost access to alom Net management port CauseALOM hangs after several weeks of ssh usage / ALOM hang after a period of time After aproximately 2 weeks of use the ALOM on all of their T2000 systems will hang and no longer allow for ssh connections. They initially experienced this on older firmware versions but have since updated to the 6.7.0 release and are still seeing the issue. (since then 6.7.3 has been released and we have requested they update to this newer version to see if we still experience the problem but we have no results from this yet) They are able to reset the ALOM from the serial connection (which they do not normally use and is not normally connected) and then are able to use the ALOM via ssh for about another 2 weeks before it encounters another hang. any type of script running that logs into the SP but they do use Sun xVM Ops Center for system monitoring in addition to their normal use of ssh to connect to the SP. The customer also reports that when this problem happens if they create a serial connection to the ALOM and then attempt to make an ssh connection to the SP they see a "data access exception" error posted to the serial management port.
