Sun StorageTek T10000B Tape Drive - Version Not Applicable and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

T10000A and T10000B drives will hang if you press the dump button on either the dmod itself or on the drive tray. This will only occur if the drive is running on 1.48.x05 microcode.

Cause

A microcode code defect caused this problem.

Solution

A code change was written to correct the problem. It will be in the next release of T1000A/B code, forecast for 1.48.x07 or higher.

In the mean time use VOP or the library to force dumps on these drives types.

The T10000C drive is not affected by this problem .
