Symptoms

Customer reports a multiple fan failure and is probably suspecting of a faulty fan power board.

Changes

 The issue is associated to Bug 6989852 that causes the system to display a strange message and also causes the 0 rpm FAN failure for all fans.

Cause

There are HW related warnings reported from explorer data collection such as the following:

Solution


Bug 6989852 is fixed in System Firmware 7.3.0 (patch 145676-01). Update to System Firmware 7.3.0 or higher.
