Symptoms

When sending email alerts, the SMTP logs show noreply@axiomalerts: Sender address rejected: need fully-qualified address OR the Axiom user cannot change the sender domain address on the Axiom Settings

OR

User cannot change the email domain in the email notification in the network settings

Cause

Re-occurence of Bug 13765414: The domain sender needs to be changes by a valid domain however in 5.2.0 there is a bug preventing to change this value.
 

Solution

This problem is solved from 5.2.1 onwards

  1. Upgrade the Axiom software to the latest 5.x version available.
  2. Modify the network settings
    Configure --> global Settings --> Networking.
    Menu / Modify Network Settings
    Tab Notifications.
    Change the email domain in the email notification section.
