Two interfaces from the dual-port 10gbe cards not listed:
# grep 'ixgbe_probe: failed to load' /var/log/messages
The physical interfaces that do not appear in ifconfig -a do not have the following line associated with them in an lspci -v output: Kernel driver in use: ixgbe The working interfaces do. ChangesN/A CauseFault with cables QSFP to 4x SFP+ Splitter Cable 530-4451 [R] X2125A-3M SolutionIf similar fault found , replace the Ethernet cable. Here it is QSFP to 4x SFP+ Splitter Cable 530-4451 [R] X2125A-3 With the replacement cables all interfaces are present and messges no longer shows any SFP errors.
