Sun StorageTek T10000 Tape Drive - Version Not Applicable to Not Applicable [Release N/A]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

FSC 1A4C error on a T10000 Drive

Changes

Possibly an online drive lost power, IPLed, or took a SNO which may cause the device to loose the assignment.

Cause

This is a cmd reject of a PSF (Perform Subsystem Function) order "Indentify Host Type". This error occurred because the PSF cmd was issued without the device first being assigned to the path. It is not a SNO.

Solution

Vary the device offline then back online to the host. If this an RTD then the host is the VTSS unit which is driven by VTCS commands.
