While performing a new setup on an ODA system, the configuration tool does not like the domain name provided. The configuration tool takes the domain but errors out with an invalid domain name when the install starts. ChangesCustomer was using a DOMAINNAME of "EXAMPLE", rather than the more common EXAMPLE.COM CauseYou are encountering the <Bug 14037238> - NEW ODA SETUP: FAILS WITH DOMAINNAME OF "EXAMPLE", NOT EXAMPLE.COM SolutionUntil Development corrects this bug in a future ODA patchset, please use one of the two provided workarounds: Option 1: Since it was failing on the domain "example" a previous Customer decided to make a sub domain called "oracle.example" and put all the ODA addresses in it. The customer reported that this worked well.
