Pillar Axiom 600 Storage System - Version Not Applicable and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Email alerting is no longer working on Axiom array once upgraded to
verson  higher than 05.02.01.

Changes

upgrade to version higher than 05.02.01

Cause

Any build after 05.02.01 is susceptible to this issue. The problem is that the management server can get into a configuration where the email settings have an unconfigured email domain
address in the email settings. The consequence of this is emails that are sent with this configuration have a sender address of "no-reply@". Due to the lack of a domain address,

the emails either not sent properly by the java API or some email servers reject emails that come from a sender lacking a domain in the address.

Pacman attempts to send the email using the from address noreply@. With this configuration
Pacman server would attempt to send the email with the sender as noreply@.

Solution

1) Modify the EmailSettings to have the correct email domain address.

2) Issue a PerformTestEmail request and see if the test email is
received.
