Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The on board nxge0 and or nxge1 interfaces are not accessible.

Changes

Either one or two 10 Gigabit XAUI cards have been added to the system.

Cause

If a 10 GBit Ethernet (XAUI) card is installed in the system, the corresponding Ethernet port is disabled.

A 10GbE XFP XAUI Adapter Card (XAUI card) installed in slot 4 disables on-board network
port 1 (NET1).

A 10GbE XFP XAUI Adapter Card (XAUI card) installed in slot 5 disables on-board network
port 0 (NET0) 

Solution

This is normal operation of the system with these cards installed.
