Symptoms

Serial number from the Hardware Activation file didn't match the serial number from the Library

Refer to attached file for actual error message.

Cause

The message is as a result of a downlevel version of SLC being used which is looking for a "SILKS" hardware activation key that is tied to the S/N of the library and because the E-delivery hardware activation keys are a generic file and are not tied to a specific S/N.

Solution

Use SL Console firmware 5.00 (SL3000 & SL8500) and SLC 4.75 (SL500) or higher to resolve this problem.
Library firmware should be:
- SL3000 at 3.00 or higher
- SL8500 at 7.01 or higher.
- SL500 at 14.09 or higher
