Tape alert 07

Changes

1.48.x05 code will remove tape pass count as a criteria for tape expiration.

Cause

This is no longer a criteria for tape expiration. The only criteria for expiration should be the load count for the tape.

Solution

Install 1.48.x05 code when it becomes available.

This is no longer a criteria for tape expiration. The only criteria for expiration should be the load count for the tape. This problem will be addressed in 1.48.x05 code. This code is targeted for release in early November 2011.

If you see tape alert 0x07 coming back from the drive or if VTCS has the Warranty flag set for an MVC it can be ignored until such time as you install 1.48.x05 code in the T10000A/B drives at the account.
